The Best Margaritas You Can Find on the Fly

Here at Go Jane Go we are excited to remind you, weary traveler, that Thursday is National Margarita Day!  No bueno, you say, because you’re stuck at the airport and nowhere near a Tex Mex or something equivalent? Fear not.  We did some research.  Salud!

Strawberry Margarita? Yes, yes please!

Killing time in Houston’s Hobby Airport? You’re in luck.  Head to Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen for a sweet, cold and tangy strawberry margarita.  They might be famous for French Quarter flavors, but they nailed the ‘rita.

If you’re avoiding the crush at LAX and flying to stylish Long Beach (LGB), sidle up to the bar at Taco Beach Cantina.  Even the locals love it. Burritos, tacos, nachos, and margaritas, baby.  Enjoy.

My personal favorite is the Legal Seafoods in the Jet Blue terminal  at Boston Logan (BOS).  The bar is long, the margs cold.  Margarita and chowdah’ sounds weird, but not on National Margarita Day!! Or any time, come to think of it.

Laying over in Pittsburgh (PIT) en route to Newark (EWR) or Charlotte (CLT)?  Don’t let the Martini Bar in the central concourse mislead you.  They make a terrific rocks ‘rita. Fly happy.

Canadians might  be super nice but they make a mean margarita.  Get to Toronto Airport (YYZ) early and head to  Apropos, eh?

Margarita in a pinch!

Finally, I am told the best margaritas are made in the clouds.  Inform your flight attendant that  it’s fiesta time!  Orange juice, sprite and tequila mini-bottles, and you’ll be saying “ole!”’ all the way home (and those around you will have a story to tell).

Journey On, Janes!
